I agree with others in that it is the eyes that stops this portrait from being absolutely, perfectly realistic (otherwise it's still pretty damn close!! ). Just the underneath of the eyes should perhaps protrude a little more? Or just in general the eyes should show that there's an actual eyeball underneath. *hehe* However, there's no way I can say that this isn't an amazing piece of work. The detail in the lace is exquisite and the shading and the highlights on the lips look stunning. Fantastic work!
I am not sure as to whether the spots on her face are normal blemishes or freckles, but either way (as someone pointed out) they are much too orange. Also, considering she is wearing so much blush and lipglosss (not to mention fake eyelashes), one would think she would even her skin with a bit of foundation. (although it somewhat looks like she has around the mouth and on the jaw/cheek) Also as noted by others, the eyes are off, mostly in their placement not just on the horizontal/vertical plane of her face, but it almost seems as if the inner corner of her eye has been pushed into her head. This may be accentuated by the deep shadowing and extensive eyelashes. Also, the lace seems to be misshapen as if it is being stretched, yet she can't be pulling it considering how it sits at the top of her head. This piece is still very well done and gives off a pristine glow.
Honestly, the only thing I think is keeping her from being perfect is her eyes. They're a strange shape and a little too far apart I think, as well as not having all the lines that eyes normally do. It's the eyes that make her kinda resemble a barbie doll, but the rest of her is, quite frankly, almost perfect. The lace boggles the mind.
You said you wanted ADVANCED critique, so here goes...
Her left eye looks like it's a the complete wrong angle...it makes her look as if she has a lazy eye, or if she's croos-eyed. Her eyelashes are at an angle /most/ people's would not be at. And her eyebrows are too...soft, and they look flat, like she drew them in with a pencil and covered them with just matte, brown powder. The texture AROUND the eyebrows is odd in the full view, maybe if you had fixed the brows it wouldn't look that way...and there's also a LOT of red spots on her face, I don't know if you meant it to be that way, or what, but they look like zits, but they're also WAY too orange for her skintone.
And I have NEVER worked in a 3D program in my life, so if it was impossible to do all of this, excuse my butting in. Heh.
There is a story to be told behind the picture... inspires me to think of the bride who did not want to marry. Her beautiful present, but her soul absent from the ceremony that would make her more of a doll than she already was.
wow, great job, the skin is amazing and the glow you created suits perfectly. Although a couple of things, it seems a little cross eyes and the lips are way too specular, they draw too much attention. Anyway, regardless its a great job.
Easily one of the most realistic 3d pics i have seen! Totally stunning. The only thing that makes me see its done with the computer is the eyes and perhaps the mouth The rest, I can't sy if it is a photo or not
I love it for the most part. The veil is remarkable. I wouldn't even know where to begin on an undertaking like that. But I must concur with Kallithrix, the eyes are off. She looks like a doll. I dunno, it's like they're not looking anywhere; and I could be wrong, I give you that, but I think one's higher than the other. I make that mistake myself all the time when I'm drawing. But, it's a grand piece. Very beautiful.
